Charleston Academy of Music

The Charleston Academy of Music commits itself to providing everyone with an equal opportunity to partake in all the benefits of the programs. 

Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and musical merit. 

Auditions are held throughout the year and require recommendations from either a CAM faculty member or school music teacher.

Honors Program Scholarships

These scholarships are offered to students who meet all the requirements for the Honors Program at CAM.
        
They must perform a successful audition in order to qualify.  Students awarded these scholarships are required to participate in every aspect of the Honors Program. 

These scholarships have been made possible by the South Carolina Arts Commission, The Jerry and Anita Zucker Family Endowment Fund, The Joanna Foundation, Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation, Coastal Community Foundation, Blackbaud Endowment, SC Budget and Control Board Competitive Grant and Private Donors.

Financial assistance is available for students who could not otherwise pursue studies at the academy.

Prospective students must demonstrate a clear commitment to music, be recommended by their teachers at school, and be interviewed by an Academy representative before being accepted into the program.

Students must show self evident progress throughout the academic year in order to be awarded financial aid for the following year.
