Charleston Academy of Music

The Charleston Academy of Music is a non-profit organization whose mission is to
          
empower students to become achievers by providing superior professional

music instruction and performance opportunities.

The genre of classical music is one of the oldest artistic traditions in history.  Despite its firm foundation and stand to time, there still seems to be a void between the traditions of this music and today's modern world.  The Charleston Academy of Music finds it to be of utmost importance to help keep the traditional beauty of classical music very much alive and involved in the lives of people today.  

This is the most significant part of CAM's Mission and Vision: working to change the status quo of classical music in the modern world and expose people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life to the many wonders of music.  CAM wishes to continuously bridge all of these people together through universal language of music by providing high quality musicians and instruction in order to help nurture some of the most basic of human necessities: self-expressing and a sense of community.  


Charleston Academy of Music's Vision for the Future:


.	Create a teacher training manual for reaching out to inner city children 

.	Introduce more young people to classical music concerts that everyone can enjoy

.	Continue to develop engaging programs for students and the community

.	Build an arts education facility that can embrace people from all ages and backgrounds.
